1. CALL TO ORDER
Chair Pacheco called the meeting to order at 4:34 P.M.
2. ROLL CALL
Present: Commissioners Gonzalez, Junus, Leschensky, Pacheco, Ruppert and Su. There
is one vacancy
Also Present: Recreation Services Manager Stayton, Recreation Supervisor Anderson,
and Management Analyst Fisher.
Absent: Commissioners C. Colombo and G. Colombo

REGULAR YOUTH COMMISSION MEETING MINUTES, SECOND BY
COMMISSIONER LESCHENSKY, AND THE MOTION CARRIED 6-0
(COMMISSIONERS C. COLOMBO AND G. COLOMBO WERE ABSENT, ONE
VACANCY).
8. ACTION ITEMS
8A. FY 2021-2022 Youth Commission Work Plan
Chair Pacheco led the Commissioners through the work plan.
9. INFORMATIONAL ITEMS
9A. Department Updates Recreation Services Manager Stayton
Manager Stayton provided department updates including the opening of two supervisor
positions at the Encinitas Community and Senior Center. The positions would assist in
the senior nutrition program and general recreational program activities. Manager
Stayton also gave an update on the recreation guide, which is currently in production
and scheduled for delivery to residents on March 5, 2022. Program registrations for
Spring season and Summer Camp programs are scheduled to open on March 7, 2022.
