CITY OF ENCINITAS YOUTH COMMISSION

1. CALL TO ORDER
Vice Chair Colombo called the meeting to order at 4:31 P.M.
2. ROLL CALL
Present: Commissioners C. Colombo, G. Colombo, Gonzalez, Junus, Leschensky,
Pacheco, Ruppert and Su. There is one vacancy
Also Present: Recreation Services Manager Stayton, Recreation Supervisor Anderson,
and Management Analyst Gilliam.
Absent: None

REGULAR YOUTH COMMISSION MEETING MINUTES, SECOND BY
COMMISSIONER PACHECO, AND THE MOTION CARRIED 8-0 (ONE VACANCY).

8A. FY 2021-2022 Youth Commission Work Plan
Recommended Action: Discuss Work Plan and report on Work Plan related activities
Vice Chair G. Colombo led the Commissioners through the potential work plan initiatives
and there were no updates.
9. INFORMATIONAL ITEMS
11A. Department Updates Recreation Services Manager Stayton

Manager Stayton shared the Holiday Parade will take place on Saturday, December 4.

Manager Stayton stated the applications must be submitted by November 24 to be
guaranteed a spot in the parade. Manager Stayton shared they are looking for
volunteers to assist with the parade. She shared that Cyclovia will be held on January 9,
2022 on Coast Highway 101. The Recreation Division is in the process of rebuilding
programming, is looking for fitness instructors, and is seeking additional part time staff to
fill vacancies.
