CommissionerSims shared that the EncinitasFriends of the Arts purchased Orpheus, a kinetic
sculpture, created byartistJeffery Laudenslager,and donatedit to the City of Encinitas.

Commissioner Sims shared that the artwork thanking first responders is still on display around
Encinitasand EFA has receivedpositive feedback regarding this project. He also reports that the initial
plans have begun for Dia de los Muertos 2021.

Staff liaison Gilliam shared that Arts AssistantBrigid Parsons’last day with the City was gave an
update on the Santa Fe Undercrossingwebsite and shared anew logo for the Wednesdays@Noon
concertseries.
