Chair Bruhahn called the meeting to order at 4:32 p.m.

COMMISSION WORK PLAN OUTCOMES, SECOND BY COMMISSIONER
YARBROUGH, AND THE MOTION CARRIED 6 -0. (COMMISSIONERS DREWELOW,

9A. Department Updates — Manager Karlen
Manager Karlen announced that it is a busy time of year due to end of
fiscal year, new budget development and negotiations of contracts with
instructors for future programming. He also indicated that there is a new
shade structure installed at Encinitas Community Park. He also
announced that the Summer Concert Series is starting in July and August
and summer camps will commence in the coming weeks. Manager Karlen
announced that Supervisor Rundle has completed his term as liaison to
the Youth Commission, and Supervisor Hernandez will be taking over this
role with the incoming Youth Commission.
913. Outgoing Commissioner Recognition — Supervisor Rundle
Supervisor Rundle acknowledged the Commissioners for their service.
Certificates of Appreciation were handed out to outgoing Commissioners
that will not be returning.
