ALL VEGETABLE MATTER AND OBJECTIONABLE MATERIAL SHALL BE REMOVED BY THE CONTRACTOR FROM THE SURFACE UPON WHICH THE FILL IS TO BE PLACED. CUT AND FILL SLOPES SHALL BE CUT AND TRIMMED TO FINISH GRADE TO PRODUCE SMOOTH SURFACE AND UNIFORM CROSS SECTION. THE SLOPES OR EXCAVATION AND EMBANKMENTS SHALL BE SHAPED, PLANTED, AND TRIMMED AS DIRECTED BY THE ENGINEER OF WORK AND LEFT IN A NEAT AND ORDERLY CONDITION. ALL STONES, ROOTS AND OTHER WASTE MATTER EXPOSED OR EXCAVATION OR EMBANKMENT SLOPES WHICH ARE LIABLE TO BECOME LOOSENED SHALL BE REMOVED AND DISPOSED OF. THE TOE AND TOP OF ALL SLOPES SHALL BE ROUNDED IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE GRADING ORDINANCE. 16. ALL TREES, BRUSH, GRASS, AND OTHER OBJECTIONABLE MATERIAL SHALL BE COLLECTED, PILED OR OTHERWISE DISPOSED OF OFF THE SITE BY THE CONTRACTOR SO AS TO LEAVE THE AREAS THAT HAVE BEEN CLEARED WITH A NEAT AND FINISHED APPEARANCE FREE FROM UNSIGHTLY DEBRIS. APPROVAL OF LOCATION OF DEBRIS FILL SHALL BE SECURED FROM THE SOILS ENGINEER AND CITY ENGINEER PRIOR TO THE DISPOSAL OF ANY SUCH MATERIAL. 17. THE REMOVAL OF ANY AND ALL CITY TREES SHALL BE CONSISTENT WITH THE CITY'S URBAN FOREST MANAGEMENT PROGRAM.
