Commissioner Bruhahn called the meeting to order at 4:30 p.m.

9a. FY 2018-19 Youth Commission Proposed Work Plan
Commissioners reviewed the proposed work plan focus areas.
Commissioner Tyler Yarbrough requested to participate in Item 6, Standard Pacific Park
Site;
Commissioner Drewelow requested to participate in Item 8, I-5 North Project;

Staff liaison Rundle reported meeting with Fire Department staff
Fire Department, and staff recommended the Ad-Hoc Committee participate in Learn-A-
Day in the Life of a Fire Fighter to include an Open House at Station 5 on O
from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.

10B. Department Updates
Manager Karlen reported on recruitment for a Recreation Supervis
Manager Monroe retired, the winter Recreation Brochure, October
Cottonwood Creek Park and Coco will be shown, the Surfing Madonna Beach Run is
October 7 at Moonlight Beach and Dia de los Muertos is October 2
Center.
10C. 2018-19 Cultural Tourism Calendar of events
Supervisor Rundle reported sending the calendar of events to commission members.
10A. City Council Liaison Report
Council Member Boerner Horvath provided a status update on the Inclusionary Housing
and Economic Analysis and reported the Planning Commission will hold a public
workshop on October 9 at 5:00 p.m.
