To the Board of Directors of Cardiff Irrigatiorf District,
Cardiff, California.
Gentlemen:
The undersigned is now and has, been for two yeate
last past the owner` of the water pipes and condtTt`1 1(bh#ti-
tuting the distributing system for the town of Cardiff,
California, and during all of said time said owner has also
been the owner of the pump head used by said irrigation
district in supplying water through said pipes and conduits,
to the inhabitants and water-users of said town of Cardiff.
That for the use of said pump head and said dis-
tributing system said owner has received no compensation
from any source whatever;

That a just and reasonable compensation for
such use to date hereof is Twelve Hundred Dollars ($1, 200.00 ) ;
That any continuation of the use of said dis-
tributing system by said Cardiff Irrigation District will
be at the rate of Fifty Dollars ($50.00) per month from
date of this instrument, payable monthly to said owner;
That said owner hereby agrees t9 sells 41 q4
system to said irrigation di strict 'for the sum
of Five Thousand One Hundred Twenty-Five Dollars ($5,125.00),
providing said sale be consummated within six (6) months of
date of this instrument ;
Wherefore said undersigned owner hereby demands
from and of said irrigation district the payment of said
Twelve Hundred Dollars ($1,200.00) for the past use of
said distributing system and pump head as aforesaid, and
the rental for the use of said distributing system at the
rate of Fifty Dollars ($50.00) per month from and after the
date of this instrument.
