( Frank Grandier, being duly sworn, says that he is a citizen of the United States over eighteen years of age, and not intereste d as a party or otherwise in the above named matter. that he is, and at all times hereinafter mentioned was, principal clerk of the prin- ters and publishers of TEE DAILY TRANSCRIPT, a newspaper of general circulation, printed and published daily, Sundays excepted, at the Ci$y of San Diego, in the above named County and State; that as such principal clerk of the printers and publishers he has, and at all times herein mentioned has had, charge of all the advertisements published in said newspaper. Minney that the following resolution be adopted. WHEREAS , Halter Ro MaoEinnon, Maud McNemar* Flora A-Meyer, Sarah R. DON&ven, Myrtle Traudeau, Gertie S. M. Ramsey, and Walter Home Kinnon as administrator of the estate of George C-MacKinnon,Deedo filed a petition with the Directors of the Cardiff Irrigation Dist- rict of Sax Diego County, State of California, praying that the So. l%2 of the S.Y.1/4 and the N-W. 1/4 of See-23, Township 139 R. 4W. , S.B.M; thew 1/2 of the S.W. 1/4, Sec-26,Twp 13,R. 4 W. S.B.M4 the E 1/2 of the SoW.l/4, North of the county Road, in Sec.26, Twpo 13,R. 4W. S.B.M, except the part thereof belonging to Wop.Haapton; the N.W.1/4 of the S.E. l/41. North and West of County Road, Sec. 'P6, Twop.13,R. 4 West, S-B-M. , excepting therefrom the part belonging to W.P.Hampton; the 341.1/4 of the 39E.1/4, except Cardiff A Tract, Seo.22,Twp. 13, Ro 4w. SoB.M4 all the N.E.1/4 East of Cardiff, Sec. 27P Twp. 13, R. 4 W- , S.B.M. , all of which is in the County of San Diego, State of California, be excluded from the Cardiff Irrigation District, which petition was acknowledged acoording to law, and WHEREAS, the time set for hearing of said petition was Aug.6th Ills at Two O'oloek P.M. and due publicity of the hearing was given by publication in the Daily Transcript, proof of the same havi ing been filed and approved by the Board of Directors , and WHEREAS, hearing was held at the office of the Board of Diibotors in the Flatiron Building at Cardiff, County of San Diego, State of California, . at the said time, all members of the Board being 'Present and no one showing cause why said petition should not be granted and it further appearing to the Board of Directors that the larger por- tion of said land is not susceptible to irrigation and is rough and hilly, and as the part that is susceptible to irrigation is best ea- apeted to the raising of beans and upon which irrigation is no* necessary* ti It is ordered that the said petition be granted. f WNMRSBOU, it is ORDi'iRP�D by the Board of Directors of the Cardiff fir ' ; Irrigation District that the aforsaid land be and hereby is exolud- ed from the said Cardiff Irrigation District, RESOLUTION. The following Resolution was made duly seconded and unanimously adopted, WNSREAS TNb taxes on property described as follows, So-1/P of the 3.1/2 of the S.W.1/4.and the N.W- 1/4 of sec.P.3, Twp.13, R. 4 W. S.B.M; the = 1/2 of the S.W.1/4, North of the County Road, in Sec. 26, Twp. 13,R. 4 T. S.A-M. except the part thereof belonging to W.?. Mampton; the M.W.1/4 of the S.Z. 1/4, North and Pest of County Road, Sec. 26, Twp. 13.R.4 West, S.B.Y. , excepting therefrom the part belong img to W-P.Mampton; the 3.1.1/4 of the S-1.1/49, except Cardiff 1 Tract, Se0.22,Tep.13,R. 4 W. S-B.M; all the N.1.1/4 Bast of Cardiff, Seo-27,Twp.13,R. 4 t. , S.B.M., all of which is in the County of San Diego, State of California, was sold to the District. and Whereas, the taxes for the fiscal year of 1916-1917 and 1917-1918 remain unpaid, and Whereas, the owners of said property has offered to make a settle- ment for the sum of pour Rundred Dollars ( 400. ^) and cost which amount has been accepted by the Board of Directors of the Cardiff Irrigation District and by resolution passed by them said lands are released. and Whereas, the assessment against the property for fiscal years 1918- 1917 and 1917-1918 remain unpaid, now the owners have made an offer of settlement of these taxes in full for $400.00 and cost and said offer is hereby accepted in Hill payment in release of said taxes and IT IS MIREBY CRDERBD that upon the payment of said amount said prop- erty is free from said assessment and the collector of said District is hereby ordered to cancel the same. i And it 1s hereby ordered that the boundaries of said District be hereafter as follows: Beginning at the intersection of the North line of Sec.21, Twp.13 S. A motion was made, seconded and carried that E. E, Young be appointed as a committee to purchase the necessary furniture for the Cardiff Irrigation Office. " 34 " 6 ^ 56 Cardiff A gets 39,4A ^ 1 w " ^ n 41042 owned by Agnes 6.211s amount to (#1440.00) One hundred loetyxand penalties. the said Agnes 0. ills made an offer of settlement of said taxes by giving a mote on Sept.s,ls17 and maturing on four months after date* therefore, be it and it is hereby resolved that said note be accepted in payment of said taxes and the collector be instructed to 'deposits said note in the Union National Bank in San Diego. Said Bank is instructed to accept payments to apply on said note until same is satisfied or until different instruction is received by said Board of Directors. The above resolution ras made by J. Frank Cullen, Sec- onded by E.E.Young and unanimously carried. The reports of the Treasurer, Tax Collector were duly submitted, approved, verified and ordered filed.
