The president called the meeting to order. The minutes of the pre-
vioustmeeting of Januarys•2nd, 1918, were read which Were approved as
read.

tuted through Crouch Chembers be surervised by tre attorneys that
are to sass on the validity of cent-=,fated bonds to be voted by the
uistrict, for the purchase of rater stock or a mater system of the
San Diguito iZutual kater Corrrany.

~ the irrigation district, and take bonds in rayrent for tre same,
providing said bonds are passed upon favorably by C 'U.elveny sterh-
ens and millikin, bond attorneys of Los Angeles
P_n offer has been receivea from these attorneys to surervise
all rrocFedings leading ur, to a bond election on a basis of a fee, of
ore tenth of one per^,ent of any bonds voted, providing horever, no
bonds are voted, t'-eir "ee shall be one thousand dollars, and in ar,y
event their fee shall be not less than one thousand dollars. They did
also offer to pass or. the validity of the bonds voted by the district
for one tenth of one Torrent.
The San Diguito 6,utu,.l Pater —r^:r�ny are rillirp to advance
the sum of one thousand dollars, providing the district will reim-
burse them for such amount r-hen bonds are voted by the district to
purchase i1f 'j g.La" . Water stock or the eater system of
the Rater company.
In the event these bonds are not voted the rater comrany agrees
to canc81the charge of one thousand dollars against the district.
THEREFCRr, be it resolved by the board of Directors of the
Cardiff Irrigation District, that OlMelveny, Sterhens A. Milliken
be employed to supervise all proceedings leading up to a bond elec-
tion by said district for the purchase of rater stock or mater sys'
tem of the San Diguito Mutual Water Company, also, to pass upon
the validity of said bonds. This resolution was presented by J.
Frank Cullen. A vote being taken, said resolution ras unanimously
adopted.
Resolved by the Board of Directors of the Cardiff Irrigation
District, that the ore thousand dollars to be advanced by the San
Diguito Mutual Water Comrany be aererted to pay O 'Kelveny, Sterhens
�) & Milliken their fee, and Then bonds are voted by the Cardiff Irri-
gation District to purchase rater stack or the rat-r system of the
San Diguito Mutual 1"ater Comrany. This advance of one ti.ousA^d Ic l-
lars to be included in said bond issue and the water conrany to be
reimbursed to the amount, of one thousand dollars. In the event
bonds are not voted the water Comrany agreeing to car-el this charge
The above resolution was presented by J. Frank Cullen, A vote be-
ing ta;,en, said resolution Pas unanimously adopted.
Upon motion duly made, saconded and carried that J. Frank Oullen
was*appointed to confer rith Messrs. Crouch and Chambers in order
to secure services of these attorneys for the District in the mat-
ter of the enlargement of the District.
The report of the Treasurer and Tax Collector were duly sub-
mitted, verified, approved and ordered filed,
