MINUTES OF THE ENCINITAS SENIOR CITIZEN COMMISSION REGULAR MEETING

1. CALL TO ORDER
Chair Vance called the meeting to order at 2:03 p.m.
2. ROLL CALL
Present: Commissioners Lerchbacker, Stewart, Vance, Lennox, Quinn (arriving at 2:13
p.m.) and Simon (arriving at 2:10 p.m.)
Absent: Commissioner Melikian
Also Present: Senior Center Manager Goodsell and Management Analyst Roff
There being a quorum present, the meeting was in order.

Meagan Schmidt, Service Development Manager presented a short video,

8. ACTION ITEMS
8A. Coastal Mobility and Livability Study
Associate Anna Yentile provided the Commission with an update, a demonstration of
PlaceSpeak, and received Commission input on the study.
8B. Senior Citizen Commission Annual Work Plan Goals and Outcomes
Chair Vance presented the agenda report.
Goal 2: Commissioners Vance, Lennox, Stewart, and Simon will participate in this year’s
holiday parade.
Goal 4: Commissioner Lennox reported meeting with Scripps Chaplain and he expressed
interest in a Senior Fair.
Goal 5: Commissioner Vance reported this is pending the outcome of Measure T.
Goal 6: GreenPlay will present the Parks Master Plan to Council on October 26, 2016.
Goal 7: Commissioner Quinn will contact the Rotary and nominations will be accepted in
January.
Goal 8: Senior Center Manager Goodsell reported Ashley Keller is the new Recreation
Coordinator running the Out & About Transportation program.
