REGULAR MEETING MINUTES

RANCH TUESDAY, OCTOBER 27,2015, at 4:30 p.m.
CALL TO ORDER/ROLL CALL
Chair Houk called the meeting to order at 4:32 P.M.
Directors Present: Chair Richard Houk, Vice Chair Cindy Jacob, Directors Karen P. Brust(City
Manager — arrived at 4:34 p.m.), Glenn Pruim (Director of Public Works)
and Lisa Rudloff(Director of Parks and Recreation)
Absent: None
Also Present: Erik Johnson, Kent Graff, JC Resorts; Tim Nash (Finance Director), Kathy
Hollywood (Board Secretary), City of Encinitas; Dick Stern, Encinitas
Ranch HOA
There being a quorum present, the meeting was in order.

There were no oral communications.
AGENDIZED BUSINESS ITEMS
1. Introduction of City Manager Karen P. Brust
City Manager Brust was introduced.
2. Approval of the minutes of the August 25, 2015 regular meeting.
RECOMMENDED ACTION: Approve the minutes.
ACTION:
Pruim moved, Jacob seconded- to approve. the minutes of the August 25, 2015 as
presented. Motion carried. Ayes: Houk,Jacob, Pruim, Rudloff. Nays: None. Absent:
Brust. Abstain: None
2. Review of ERGA Financial Summary of Revenues, Expenditures, and Capital Reserves for
August and September 2015. Contact Person: JC Resorts, Erik Johnson
RECOMMENDED ACTION: Receive the report.
Mr. Johnson reviewed the financial summaries and the Capital Reserves for August and
September 2015.
4. Report on incidents and accidents. Contact Person: JC Resorts, Erik Johnson
RECOMMENDED ACTION: Receive the oral report.
Mr. Johnson reported that the golf course will be closely monitoring all programming
regarding gender specific events so as to ensure inclusion for all. He also reported that he
and Mr. Stern met with a homeowner that lives near hole #13 to discuss potential low cost
solutions to problems with errant golf balls.
REPORTS FROM DIRECTORS AND/OR MANAGER REPORTS
Mr. Johnson reported that John McNair was named Southern California PGA Golf Professional of
the Year.
Mr. Houk announced that the Encinitas Rotary Foundation's Annual Wine and Food Festival would
be held at the golf course and the contract had been finalized.
