1. CALL TO ORDER
Chair Henry called the meeting to order at 10:00 am.
2. ROLL CALL
Present: Commissioners Henry, Lerchbacker, Melikian, Simon, and Stewart
Absent: Commissioners Quinn and Vance
Also Present: Recreation Superintendent Gorham, Senior Center Manager Goodsell and
Management Analyst Roff
There being a quorum present, the meeting was in order.

SECOND BY COMMISSIONER LERCHBACKER, AND THE MOTION CARRIED 5-0
(COMMISSIONERS QUINN AND VANCE ABSENT).

ACTION
COMMISSIONER LERCHBACKER MOTIONED TO APPROVE THE MAY 19, 2015
REGULAR MEETING MINUTES, SECOND BY COMMISSIONER SIMON, AND THE
MOTION CARRIED 4-0 (COMMISSIONER STEWART ABSTAINED AND
COMMISSIONERS QUINN AND VANCE ABSENT).

10. COMMISSION REPORTS
10A. Senior Citizen Commission FY 2015-16 Work Plan Goals and Outcomes – All
Commissioners
Goal #3- Commissioner Melikian requested a press release in local publications for all city
commission meetings.
Goal #4- Commissioner Melikian reported the subcommittee met with ElderHelp and the
Community Resource Center. Chair Henry stated a successful role of the Senior Commission
is to connect community organizations to facilitate the resolution of senior issues and that the
subcommittee and staff are meeting Jun. 17, 2015.
Goal #5 Recreation Supervisor Gorham reported the Financial Sustainability Implementation
Plan will begin in July 2015.
Goal #6 Commissioner Lerchbacker reported meeting with Rotarian Bolus. Chair Henry
requested the entire subcommittee be included in all future meetings.
10B. Roundtable – All Commissioners
Commissioner Melikian reported on the Community Grant Panel.
Chair Henry reported on Council’s interest in fundraising.
