MINUTES OF THE ENCINITAS SENIOR CITIZEN COMMISSION
REGULAR MEETING NOVEMBER 18, 2014 AT 2PM

1. CALL TO ORDER
Chair Vance called the meeting to order at 2:03 PM.
2. ROLL CALL
Present: Chair Vance, Vice Chair Henry, Commissioners Bolus (arriving at 2:05pm),
King, Melikian, and Simon
Absent: None
Also Present: Director of Parks and Recreation Rudloff, Recreation Superintendent
Gorham, Senior Center Manager Goodsell, and Management Analyst Roff
There being a quorum present, the meeting was in order.

COMMISSIONER MELIKIAN SECONDED THE MOTION, AND THE MOTION CARRIED 6-
0.

7A. Approval of the October 21, 2014 Regular Meeting Minutes
Senior Center Manager Goodsell requested a correction to the spelling of the public
speaker’s name to Garrett.
ACTION
COMMISSIONER KING MOTIONED TO APPROVE THE OCTOBER 21, 2014 REGULAR
MEETING MINUTES WITH CORRECTIONS, COMMISSIONER BOLUS SECONDED THE
MOTION, AND THE MOTION CARRIED 6-0.

Commissioner Bolus reported on difference in senior services offered in Encinitas compared to
other cities.
Commissioner Melikian reported on Uber’s access just for seniors and on ElderHelp’s home
share program.
Commissioner Simon shared information on Boomer needs in the community.
