ON MOTION of Supervisor Craven , seconded . by Supervisor Walsh , the
following resolution is . adopted :
WHEREAS , on March 20 , 1973 , Minute Item No . 9 , the Board ' adopted a
resolution declaring its ; intention ' to vacate and abandon, ;portions of " E"
Jack Road , ad
Street and Lone jacent to Block 62 , Colony of Olivenhain ,
pursuant to the request of Arthur D . Cole , Vac . 72- 39 ; and
WHEREAS , the matter came on for hearing before the Board of Supervisors
of San Diego County , California , this 24th day of April , 1913 , at 2: 00 pm . ,
and evidence is on file that due and proper notice of said hearing , has been
E given as required by law ; and
WHEREAS , the Planning Commission , in its report filed in, the office
of ' the Clerk of the Board of Supervisors on March 6 , 1973 ( Document
,
No . 467358 ) , recommended , with the concurrence of the Planning Department ,
that the ' Board find that the requested road closings would have an` insig-
nificant environmental impact and approve said requested road closings , '
excepting a 20 - foot radius corner-
rounding at the intersection of 'subject
roads and subject to a reservation for protection of existing utility
easements as requested by the San Diego Gas & Electric C ompany ; and
WHEREAS , it appears that no written protests or objections to said
proposed vacation have been filed , and no oral protests or objections have
been made , NOW THEREFORE
} The Board of $upervisors hereby finds that due and proper notice of
the hearing on the resolution of intention to vacate said portions. of
roads has been given as required by law , and that said portions of high
ways hereinafter' desceibed are unnecessary for present or prospective
public use .
IT IS THEREFORE RESOLVED AND ORDERED that the Board of Supervisors
hereby orders that the hearing be closed ; finds . that- the environmental,
impact would be insignif icant on the requested road closings ; and orders
that portions of certain highways hereinafter described be and they are
hereby vacated and abandoned :

PUBLIC NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Board of Supervisors adopted
a resolution on March 20 , 1973 , declaring its , intention . to vacate and
abandon the following described County highways :
The easterly 10 feet of " E" Street and the southerly 10 'feet
of ' Lone Jack Road ,- adjacent to Block 62 , Colony of Olivenhain ,
Map 326 ,

At its regular meeting of January S . 1973 , after considering this matter , thee
PLANNING CONWISSION RECOMMENDED : That your Board
1 . Find that the requested road closings would' have 'an insignificant
environmental impact .
2 .' Approve the requested road closings , ' excepting a 20 - foot radius corner
rounding at the intersection of, subject roads .
PLANNING DEPARTMENT RECONSIENDATION .•
(Same as Commission recommendation . )
Discussion :
Subject roads were dedicated at 80 feet of right- of-way on ' the subdivision
map of Colony of Olivenhain , filed in 1885 . As current 'County standards
require only 60 feet of - right -of-way for these roads', ' the . 10- foot portions
requested to be vacated are in excess of County needs and should be vacated .
As requested by San . Diego , Gas and Electric Company ,` a reservation has been
made to protect existing utility easements .
