whereof is hereby acknowledged,and the benefits to accrue to Us by reason of the location and
establishment by the County of San Diego,State of California,of a public highway upon,over and across
said lands, we do— hereby signify- our approval of and consent
to the location, establishment and construetion of such highway thereon and we do
by these presents hereby grant,convey and dedicate to the County of San Diego, State of California,
grantee,the right of way and incidents thereto for such public highway upon,over and across the said
lands,hereinafter described,lying and being in the County of San Diego,State of California,and pardc-
ularly described as follows, to-wit:
The northeasterly 5 feet of that portion of Lot 4 in Block "F" of South Coast Park
Annex, according to Map thereof No. 1788 filed in the Office of the County Recorder
of said County, described in Deed to Harry A. Thompson and Hilda I. Thompson, husband
and wife,-recorded,December 22, 1958 as Document No. 215100 in Book 7409, page 99 of
Official Records in said Office of the County Recorder.
EXECEPTING therefrom that portion lying easterly of a parcel of land described.in Deed
to State of California recorded December 18,1961 as Document No. 217568 of said
Officia] Records.

For the consideration named herein we hereby:grant to the County.of San Diego the privilege and right
to extend drainage structures and excavation and embankment slopes.beyond the limits of the herein de-
scribed right of way where required for the construction and maintenance of said County Highway.
And We
the said grantor 8, do hereby waive all claim for com-
pensation for any and all damages on account of the.location, establishment and construction of said high-
way;and do—hereby grant to the County of San Diego, State of California, all trees, growths (growing
or that may hereafter grow) and roadbuilding materials within said right of way,together with the right to
use the same in such manner and at such locations as said grantee may deem proper,needful or necessary
in the construction, reconstruction and maintenance of said highway.
