Subject : Vacation of the Alley in Block 34 ,
North Leucadia
1 . Reference is made to your letter of January 19 , 1956 , concerning
the request of Paul Waite that the alley in Block 34 , Encinitas ,
be closed . Investigation reveals that this alley has already
been vacated .
2 . The Board of Supervisors . on September 13 , 1893 , according to
Book 16 , Page 221 , of the Board ' s Records , "vacated all the
streets and alleys as shown on A4a-o No . 524 on the east side
of the California Southern Railroad except Vulcan Avenue and
Hygeia Avenue , and Sanford Street as far east as Eolus Avenue , s
and Monterey Street as far east as Hygeia Avenue , and all streets
and alleys on the west side of the California Southern Railroad
except Vulcan Avenue , also that said remaining streets except
Vulcan Avenue be deducted to 40 feet in width instead of 80
feet . " On September 25 , 1893 , Map No . 763 was filed , revert -
ing the lots on Map 524 of North Leucadia to acreage ,
3 . The Board of Supervisors on November 19 , 1915 , according to
Book 37 , Page 56 , of the Board ' s Records , again vacated the
streets and alleys for the same area as requested in the
petition of Margaret L . Allen ,
4 . Since subject alley has been vacated by action of the Board 3
of Supervisors , no action is required by the Planning Commis -
sion or your Board . {

thereof , No . 524 , filed in the office of the County Recorder
of San Diego County April 6 , 1888 , described as follows :
Beginning at a point in the Northerly line of said Block
34 , distant thereon South 71~° 17130 ' West 140 feet fran the
Northeasterly corner of said Block ; thence North 74 017130"
East along said Northerly line 60 feet to the Northwesterly
come r of the land described in deed to E . Ee Persinger and
wife , recorded June 16 , 1955 as Document Ido . 78037 in Book
5681 , page 521 of Official Records ; thence South . 15042 ' 30 "
East along the Westerly line of said land 110 feet ; thence
