This being the time set for hearing of petition of Doren
Perrine , et al . , praying for the vacation of certain streets in the
5th Road District , more particularly described as follows :
The Southerly one -half of Cadmus Street from the Easterly
line of Vulcan Avenue to the center line of Hermes Avenue ;
the Westerly one -half of Hermes Avenue , from the center
line of Cadmus Street to the center line of Basil Street ;
the Northerly one -half of Basil Street from the Easterly •
line of Vulcan Avenue to the center line of Hermes Avenue ;
the Easterly one -half of Juno Avenue from the center line
of Cadmus Street to the center line of Basil Street ; and
the alley through Block 69 ; all being shown on the map of
Leucadia , Map No . 570 , filed in the office of the Recorder
of the County of San Diego , October 23 , 1888 , and also on
the map of Leucadia Acres , Map No . 1704 , filed in the office
of the Recorder of San Diego County , June 5 , 19189
Proof is made that due and legal notice has been given of
said hearing , and no protest or objection being made to the vacation of i
said highway , on motion of Supervisor Hurley , seconded by Supervisor
Good , said petition is granted and said streets are hereby declared
vacated , abandoned and discontinued according to the prayer of said
petition .

NOTICE OF HEARING PETITION TO VACATE
STREETS IN LEUCADIA IN FIFTH ROAD IK STRICT .
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN THAT on Tuesday, February 14th , 1928 ,
at the hour of 11 : 00 o ' clock A . M . , of said day , at the office of the
Board of Supervisors of the County of San Diego , State of California , in
the Court House , in the City of San Diego , said County and State , the
petition of Doren Perrine , et al . , will be heard , being a petition
asking this Board to declare certain Streets in the Fifth Road District ,
closed and abandoned , described as follows :
The Southerly one -half of Cadmus Street from the Easterly
line of Vulcan Avenue to the center line of Hermes Avenue ;
the Westerly one half of Hermes Avenue , from the center line
of Cadmus Street to the center line of Basil Street ; the
Northerly one -half of Basil Street from the Easterly line of
Vulcan Avenue to the center line of Hermes Avenue ; the Easterly
one -half of Juno Avenue from the center line of Cadmus Street
to the center line of Basil Streets and the alley through
Block 69 ; all being shown on the map of Leucadia , map #570 ,
filed in the office of the Recorder of the County of San Diego ,
October 239 1888 , and also on the map of Leucadia Acres , map
#1704 , filed in the office of the recorder of San Diego County
June 5 , 19180
That the owners of land across which or contiguous to
which said streets run are as follows : Thomas F . McLaughlin , Captain
William Baird and Maj . General William H . Carter) Trustees .
You are hereby notified to appear at said time and place
and show cause , if any you have , why the said streets should not be
closed , abandoned and discontinued , according to the prayer of said
petition .

A comparison of Maps #507 and #1704 discloses the fact that the
streets mentioned in this petition were all originally eighty feet
in width , and that on February 5th , 1918 , the County Board of
Supervisors abandoned one -half of these streets to the surrounding
property reserving the remaining forty. feet of the described streets
for the accommodation of the lot owners in Block 69 . 1 •
It is the prayer of these petitioners that these remaining one -
half streets be now abandoned , f�
