This amendment is to provide Design Development and Construction Documents professional services for the Moonlight Beach Improvements. Enclosed with this letter is a detailed scope of work (Attachment A) a fee proposal (Attachment B) and a list of the proposed Sub - consultants (Attachment C). Please indicate your acceptance of this amendment by signing where indicated below, and returning the original to my attention. Solana Beach CA 92075 t: 858.'792.5906 / f: 858.792.59 1 6 ATTACHMENT "A" (Revised 7/11/11) I PROJECT SCOPE: This proposal is for the Phase I elements of the Moonlight State Beach Masterplan. The project area is defined roughly as the area bounded by C Street to the south, the top of slope below the upper parking lot to the east, to the north by a line parallel to the southern edge of the existing volleyball courts, and the ocean to the west. Elements of the Work include: A Demolish existing restroom and concession buildings and associated paving. Repair with new hardscape or sand as indicated in the schematic drawings; B New restroom and concession building; C New lifeguard garage with public viewing deck above; D New trash enclosure and shade trellis; E Re- construct lower portion of existing pedestrian ramp from upper parking lot; F New paving at beach level. Bid alternates to include: 1) Up to (2) two alternates for reduced paving area and / or alternate materials; 2) Driveway associated with lifeguard garage with planter and hardscape to public viewing deck; G Landscape repair around each building. Bid alternates to include: 1) Restore native landscape on the entire slope below the upper parking lot; 2) Planters along north side of C Street; H New fire pits; I New accessible parking space in the C Street terminus; J New storm water improvements at C Street to be connected to existing improvements at the western end of B Street; K Extend water and sewer lines to new facilities; L Street improvements at C Street to accommodate new driveway and repair curbs damaged by storm water work; M Retaining walls and associated grading at each building and the picnic area south of the concession building. Bid alternate to include: 1) No grading or driveway if lifeguard garage is not included in this phase; N Upgrade dry utilities (gas, electric, cable, phone) as required. O Elements of the Moonlight Beach Master Plan that are excluded from this proposal include: 1) Marine safety center; 2) Improvements to upper parking lot, except trash enclosure related work; 3) All street improvements unless specifically included above; 4) Parking lots on the north side of B Street; II BASIC SERVICES: A Design Development Phase (40% Submittal) Based on the approved Schematic Design documents prepare drawings and other documents to further refine, fix and describe the size and character of the Project elements.
