The Atkins team has inspected similar construction projects for compliance with Storm water Pollution Prevention Plans throughout the southwest. Based on our experience, we submit the following proposal and fee estimate for your consideration. SCOPE OF SERVICES Based on our current understanding of the Project, ATKINS will provide the following construction inspection services: A. Project Initiation ATKINS will obtain and review pertinent project information from the Client and visit the site to understand the existing erosion factors and construction methods of the project. This task includes attendance of a Pre - Construction Kick Off Meeting as well as an initial Contractor SWPPP training to be held on -site. B. Inspection Services Weekly Inspections (38) Atkins will provide weekly inspections of the project construction site and maintain the SWPPP binder which will remain at the Construction trailer at all times. Based on the construction schedule 38 weekly inspections have been budgeted for this task. This task also includes the attendance of bi- weekly construction meetings. REAP and Storm Water Sampling (10) Atkins will provide rain event action plans and storm water sampling for turbidity and pH for qualifying rain events. A qualify rain event is defined as a storm event that produces more than 0.5 inches. This task assumes a maximum of ten rain events. Post Qualifying Rain Event Inspections Atkins will provide post rain event inspection on for qualifying rain events as a substitute to weekly inspections. Project Closeout (Notice of Termination) Atkins will perform a project closeout inspection and develop a punch list of items needed to be corrected by the contractor in order to file for the Notice of Termination. This task also includes filing the Notice of Termination (NOT) with the State Water Quality Control Board thru there SMARTs system. II. ADDITIONAL ENGINEERING SERVICES If requested by Client, ATKINS will provide the following additional services beyond the services included in Section I, Scope of Services: A. Attendance to additional meetings beyond those specifically identified in Section]. B. Additional inspection effort due to rain events more than the assumed amount of 10. C. Assistance with public participation and communications or workshops, etc. D. Any additional Project related services not specifically included in the Scope of Services. III. CLIENT FURNISHED SERVICES The following services or information will be provided by the Client or its consultants: A. Copies of all relevant reports, studies, drawings, correspondence, and other relevant Project information or data. B. Assign one person to serve as the City's and Contractor's Project Manager who has authority to represent the City and Contractor, respectively and will serve as the point of interface for all Project issues and communications. IV. FEES AND CONDITIONS The time and materials, not -to- exceed fee for the above services is estimated at $55,600 Exhibit 1 provides a detailed summary of the hours associated with the tasks described above. Ground Service Technology provides no preparation or maintenance and therefore cannot guarantee germination or growth. Ground Service Technology is not responsible for acts of God, weed infestation, poor or failed irrigation. This proposal includes the current prevailing wage rates for the specified work classifications when applicable. All material is guaranteed to be as specified and all work performed In a quality workmanlike manner. Ground Service Technology will be supplied legal access to an on -site metered fire hydrant or other 2" line or greater.
