City Council awarded the contract for the Moonlight State Beach Improvements on July 11, 2012 to your
firm. The contract award is based on unit prices, and the total amount of work shall not exceed the contract
amount of $4.159.479, which includes the Alternate.
In order to expedite the start of the contract, please deliver the following items to my office as soon as
possible:
1. Two signed copies of the enclosed agreement. Return both signed copies of the agreement.
The City Manager will sign the agreements, and one will be returned to you for your file.
2. A Faithful Performance Bond equal to 100% of the total contract amount.
3. A Faithful Materials and Labor Bond equal to 100% of the total contract amount.
4. Certificate of Insurance with the City of Encinitas listed as the additional insured agency. The
City of Encinitas requires an Additional Insured Endorsement page to accompany all Certificates
of Liability naming the City of Encinitas as Additional Insured. Please send an AIE to accompany
the Policy. Below is a list of acceptable AIE: CG 20 10 1185, CG 20 26 1185, CG 20 10 10 93, CG
20 10 03 97, CG 20 1010 01, CG 20 241185, CG 29 35 1188, CG 20110196 and CG 2012 07

Due to specific conditions of approval, the start date for this project is September 4 2012. The City and
