Notice of Award of Contract
Dear Jennifer Hotnun:
City Council awarded the contract for Encinitas Community Park, CMP02D, on July 11, 2012 to your firm.
The contract award is based on unit prices and the total amount of work shall not exceed the contract amount of
$17,087,681.63.
In order to expedite the start of the contract, please deliver the following items to my office as soon as possible:
1. Two signed copies of the enclosed agreement. Return both two signed copies of the agreement.
The City Manager will sign the agreements, and I will return one to you for your file.
2. A Faithful Performance Bond equal to 100% of the total contract amount.
3. A Faithful Materials and Labor Bond equal to 100% of the total contract amount.
4. Certificate of Insurance with the City of Encinitas listed as additional insured agency_ The City
of Encinitas requires an Additional Insured Endorsement page to accompany all Certificates of
Liability naming the City of Encinitas as Additional Insured. Below is a list of acceptable AIE,
please send an AIE to accompany Policy: CG 20 10 11 85, CG 20 26 11 85, CG 20 10 10 93,
CG 2010 03 97, CG 20 10 10 01, CG 20 24 1185, CG 29 35 1188, CG 20 11 01 96,
CG 2012 07 98
Attachment A to the contract is your base bid schedule and your Alternate bid schedule for the unit
prices. Attachment B is the City's evaluation of your bid and the correct cost based on unit prices and
quantities.
The City of Encinitas is ready to get this project started. Please contact me so we can set a date for a Ground
Breaking Ceremony with City Council, the community and your firm. The City and the community greatly
appreciate your dedication to quality service.
