REGULAR MEETING MINUTES: December 7, 2011 4:30 PM
1. CALL TO ORDER/ROLL CALL
Chair Marow called the meeting to order at 4:35 PM
Present: Chair Marow, Vice-Chair L. Barth, Commissioners Conger, A. Barth, Eyl,
Ferreirae, Forrest (arriving at 4:40 PM), Lawson, Maskiewicz, Ozorio and
Sands

Approval of the Minutes for the October 5, 2011 Meeting
ACTION
COMMISSIONER FERREIRAE MOTIONED AND VICE-CHAIR BARTH
SECONDED TO APPROVE THE MINUTES OF THE NOVEMBER 2, 2011
MEETING. MOTION CARRIED 10-0 (COMMISSIONERS FORREST ABSENT).

New City Website Presentation: Lynne Tufts, IT Manager and Joel Wigginton, IT
Analyst II
ACTION
Chair Marow called for a motion to place the City website review on the
January agenda. Vice-Chair L. Barth motioned, Chair Marow seconded,
motion carried 11-0.
10. REPORTS
A. Ad-Hoc Subcommittee Reports
Recycling (Commissioners L. Barth, Conger and Lawson)
Commissioner Lawson presented the Recycling PowerPoint presentation to the
Commission and IT staff. Vice-Chair Barth requested the presentation be added
to the City website. IT Manager Tufts requested the Commission provide a
recommendation as to where to place the Recycling Presentation on the
website.
Homeless Teens (Commissioners Eyl, Lawson and Sands)
Commissioner Eyl presented a Plan for Collection and a list of Drop-Off
locations to the Commission. Chair Marow requested the subcommittee meet
with the Community Resource Center and Recreation Supervisor Rubenstein
before implementing the Plan for Collection and placing the collection boxes.

CGPU (Commissioner Marow)

North County Youth Summit (Commissioner Marow)
Chair Marow reported the representative from the North County Youth Summit
has not heard from the Encinitas Youth Commissioners and requested the
Commissioners who volunteered please contact the representative.

Commissioners’ share updates on youth activities in the community.
