MEETING MINUTES: September 7, 2011 4:30 PM
1. CALL TO ORDER/ROLL CALL
Commissioner Ferreirae called the meeting to order at 4:34 PM
Present: Commissioners Ferreirae, A. Barth, L. Barth, Conger, Eyl, Forrest, Lawson,
Marow, Maskiewicz and Ozorio
Also Present: Interim Director O’Grady, Recreation Supervisor Rubenstein, Park
Supervisor Smith and Administrative Support Coordinator Roff
Absent: Commissioner Sands
2. PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE
Commissioner Marow led the Commission in the Pledge of Allegiance.
3. ORAL COMMUNICATIONS
None
4. CLOSING AND ADOPTION OF THE CONSENT CALENDAR
Approval of the Minutes for the June 1, 2011 Regular Meeting.
COMMISSIONER MAROW MOTIONED AND COMMISSIONER LAWSON SECONDED
TO APPROVE THE MINUTES OF THE JUNE 1, 2011 MEETING. MOTION CARRIED
7-0 (COMMISSIONER SANDS ABSENT, COMMISSIONERS A. BARTH, FORREST
AND OZORIO ABSTAINED).

7. NEW BUSINESS
Park and Beach Tour
Commissioners departed City Hall at 4:37 PM.
Moonlight Beach- Interim Director O’Grady provided the Commission with a design map
and an update on the Moonlight Beach master plan.
Encinitas Community Park- Interim Director O’Grady provided a site map that highlighted
features of the future park and provided information on construction options.
Glen Park- Park Supervisor Smith explained Glen Park is one of the oldest parks in
Encinitas and Commissioners observed the newly installed playground.
Cardiff Sports Park- Park Supervisor Smith provided Commissioners with information on
various types of park use.
Encinitas Ranch Golf Course- Commissioners viewed the Encinitas Ranch Golf Course
and information was provided on the relationship between the City and JC Golf.
Noodles & Company Restaurant- Commissioners ended their tour at Noodles and
Company Restaurant for an icebreaker.
