THIS INDENTURE VU'I7'HESSETH, that J. 1. D odds, -.of the
County of San Diego, State of California, for and in: consideration

ceipt of vrrhich is hereby acknowledged, does by these presents
convey unto the SAN. DIEGUITO IRRIGATION DISTRICT', of said` County,
its successors and, assigns forever, ..an easement; for right of way-
over and upon the lands hereinafter described, for the construe-
tion, use and maintenance thereon of pipe lines and' the supports
and appurtenances thereof; convenient and necessary for 'the purposes
and uses .of said Irrigation District, together ,with the rights
of ingress and egress over the adjacent lands to the - grantors
herein, to the various points of-said rights of 'v, ay 'necessary for
the work of c:onstructi.on, maintenance and .repair of said pipe, 'lines ,
supports and maintenances. The said rights of ingress' and egress
to be exercised with the least' possible detriment and inc onvenience
to the lands so used '&nd. any damage to ,gro�ri.ng crops caused thereby,
to be compensated for by .sai - District.
Said pipe ,lines shall wherever possible, be` ;placed,
under ground and covered by the. natural. so1l to a depth:- which.
will not interfere with. the cultivation o - f the land through Which
they extend, provided that where it i.s': necessary'.to the proper
gradient - and construction of said pipe-lines . they may carried
over arr'oyas and depressions in ' said right of way .above ground and
upon trestles and other supports.
