tion, the receipt of which ia.'.hereby 'acknowledged, does by these
presents convey unto.the - SAN DIEGUITO*IRRIGATION DISTRICT, of
said County, its successors and assigns forever, an easement for
the construction, use and maintenance thereon of pipe lines and
the 'supports and appurtenances thereof, convenient and necessary,
for the purposes and uses of .said Irrigatiol'i District, together
with the rights of ingress and.egress over the adjacent lands
to the grantors herein to the various ,points of said-rights of
way necessary for the v, o rk of construction, maintenance and re-
pair of said pipe lines, - supports and a -, ppurtenanc , ' es. The said
rights of ingress and egress ,to be exercised with the 1

damage to growing crops, caused thereby to be compensated for by

Said pipe lines wherever - i - ,)o.ssible, shall be placed
under ground and covered by the natural..soil to a de
will not .interfere with the cultivation of ,the land through which
they extend, provided that where it is'necessary to the proper
gradient .and construction of said pipe,'lines, they may be carried
over arroyas and depressions in, s,aid 'of way above ground and
upon trestles and other supports. ,

course shall be laid so as to avoid interference with any
fixtures and permanent improvements on sz,id premises at the time
of such selection.
