MINUTES OF REGULAR MEETING
CIVIC CENTER

TUESDAY, JANUARY 26, 2010 at 4:00 p.m.
CALL TO ORDER/ROLL CALL
Chairman Dean called the meeting to order at 4:02 p.m.
DIRECTORS PRESENT: Peter Cota-Robles, Phil Cotton, Bill Dean, Chris Hazeltine, and
Cindy Jacob.
DIRECTORS ABSENT: None.
ALSO PRESENT: Rod Linville and John McNair from JC Resorts; City Staff, Jay
Lembach (unti14:30 p.m.), Nancy Sullivan and Board Secretary Joan
Woods. '
There being a quorum present, the meeting was in order.
ORAL COMMUNICATION:
Jim Brakas from the Encinitas Ranch Men's Club inquired if the Board could provide
complimentary golf rounds for sponsors of the Club's tournaments. Chairman Dean suggested he
submit a proposal for the request and agendize for the next meeting.
AGENDIZED BUSINESS ITEMS
1. Approve Minutes of Special Meeting of 12-15-09. Contact Person: Board _
Secretarv Woods.
ACTION:
Hazeltine moved, Jacob seconded to approve the 12-15-09 SpeciaT Meeting minutes. Motion
carried: Ayes: Cotton, Dean, Jacob and Hazeltine. Nays: None. Abstain: Cota-Robles.
2. Review Suinmarof Revenues and Expenditures/Financial Statement/update on
Capital Reserves for December. Contact Person: JC Resorts; Rod --L-inviile/Kent-Graff.

Mr. Rod Linville presented the December suminary of revenues and expenditures and the
capital reserves.
3. Marketing report and centralized call reservation center monthlv update. Contact Person:
JC Resorts; John McNair/Rod Linville.
Mr. McNair presented the Board with a proposed 2010 calendar of monthly marketing
promotions. Mr. McNair stated other marketing efforts including co-op marketing with
Sports Clips and a booth at the Farmers Insurance Open.

4. Report on Course Enhancements. Contact Person: JC Resorts; Kent Graff.
Chairman Dean reported that a tour of the course was planned for February. Mr. Linville
reported minimal damage from the recent storms.
5. LJpdate on Cell Tower Discussions. Contact Person: JC Resorts; John
McNair.
Mr. McNair reported that the AT&T cell tower housing for equipment had been completed "
and he was pleased with the ascetics.
6. Incidents and Accidents. Contact Person: JC Resorts; Rod Linville.
Mr. Rod Linville reported on one incident for the month of December.
