BACKGdtOUND•
~ Due to the recent request irom the Govemor to reduce elcctrical nsage by 5%, the Ciry
council directed staff to change the Council meeting times to begin at 5:30 P.M. mther thaa
6:00 P.M. Because District meetings are held prior to Council mectings, it is neccssary to
change the District meeting times also.
RECOMMENDATION:
Adopt Resolution 2001-01

RESOLUTION 2001-01
~ A RESOLUTION OF THE CARDIFF SANITATION DISTRIC'T
ESTABLISHING MEETING TIMES FOR REGULAR BOARD MEETINGS
WHEREAS, the Government Code Section 54954(a) requires that legislative bodies
set a Nme and location of regular meetings hy ordiaance, resolution or by-Isws; and
WIiEREAS, on January 17, 2001, City Council instructed Staff to amend the
Regular City Couacil times to begin at 5:30 P.M.; and
WHEREAS, because District meetings are 6eld prior to the Regulsr Couacil
Meetings, the third Wednesday of each month, it is aecessxry to also ameod the
commencement rime for CSD Regular meetiugs to 5:30 P.M.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE I'C RESOLVED by the Board of Directors of t6e CardiR
Sanitation D'w•trict that all Board meetings will begin at 5:30 P.M.
PASSED AND ADOPTED, on this day, Jaauary 24, 2001, with tbe following vote to
