The agreement ca~ls far a cos~~ sharin~ ax~angement requiring the SDUHSD ~o reimburse ~he Cxty ~ifty percent ~50%0} of ~he cost of providin~ the School Resource ~ffic~rs, arid since then, ~he c~st af two officers has been shared.. ~ ~ Th~se off~cers have prov~ded a valuable serv~ce to SDUHSD and the communit~ by dedicating Sheriff resources to school-re~ated crime and crime prevention, creating ~uvenile cr~me specialis~s, ~reating a cooperative laW enfor~ement environment, and recognizrng students and staff as a priority, ~ ~n April~ 2, 2~09 the City recexved a letter from SUUHSD d~serib~ng their need to reduce expenditures in FY ~911 D~ue to California Sta~e budget cuts, arid request~ng ~he elirnination af one of the two School ~ Resource ~fficer posi~ions. Guidelines for the JA~ program ~ give recipien~s up to four years ta expend the funding. Within cities, graffiti case ~rocessing wi~~ have to be modified ta accammodate the needs of ~he Graffiti T~a~ke~. The ~heriff has p~ovided. each cor~tract city ~ith one spec~alized d~gita~ camera.
