CALL TO ORDER/ROLL CALL
Chairman Dean called the meeting to order at 4:00 p.m.
DIRECTORS PRESENT:
Phil Cotton at (4:40 p.m.), Peter Cota-Robles, Bill Dean, Chris
Hazeltine and Cindy Jacob.
DIRECTORS ABSENT:
None.
ALSO PRESENT:
John McNair, Rod Linville, Kent Graff, JC Resorts; City Staff, Jay
Lembach, Nancy Sullivan, and Board Secretary Joan Woods.
There being a quorum present, the meeting was in order.

REGULAR AGENDA
1. Approve Minutes of Regular Meeting of June 24, 2008.
ACTION:
Hazeltine moved, Dean seconded to approve the 6-24-08 Regular Meeting minutes. Motion
carried: Ayes: Cotton, Dean, and Hazeltine. Nays: None. Abstain: Cota-Robles and
Jacob.

2. Review Summary of Revenues. and Expenditures/Financial Statement/update on Capital
Reserves for June and July. . Contact Person: JC Resorts: Rod Linvillel10hn McNair.
Mr. Rod Linville and John McNair presented the June and July summary of revenues and
expenditures.
Staff recommendation was to receive report.
3.
Discussion of future Deferred Maintenance/replacement projects. Contact Person:
Resorts: Kent Graff.

Mr. Kent Graff updated the Board on the deferred maintenance/replacement projects at the
course. Mr. Graffstated the cover over the fuel tank was completed and they were working
on resurfacing of the tees,
4. Discussions of a JC Resorts universal call center for booking tee times. Contact Person:
JC Resorts: John McNair.
Mr. McNair proposed a central golf reservations department for booking tee times at five JC
Resort managed courses. The benefits of central reservations would be: extended hours of
operation, increased cross-sell opportunities, and increased customer service at the golf
shops. The projected cost would be $3,152 per month, butthere would be prospective labor
savings of $1 ,200 at the individual golf shops.
ACTION:
Hazeltine moved, Cotton seconded to approve "central golf reservations" for a trial period of
3 ~ months, beginning September 15, 2008 with the provision that JC Resorts provide
monthly statistics on the "central golf reservation" operation. Motion carried: Ayes:
Cotton, Cota-Robles, Dean, Hazeltine and Jacob. Nays: None. Absent: None.
5. Report on Course Enhancements. Contact Person: JC Resorts: Kent Graff.
No report. Mr. Graff stated this item was covered with Item 3.
6. Update on Cell Tower Discussions. Contact Person: JC Resorts, John McNair.
Mr. McNair updated the Board on the status of the Verizon cell tower which was currently
going through the City for permits and AT & T cell tower was in the works with initial
discussions.

7. Incidents and Accidents. Contact Person: JC Resorts: Rod Linville.
Mr. Rod Linville reported on one incident, one accident and a lawsuit which involved a
membership issue at one of the golf course's clubs.
Staff recommendation was to receive report.
