YOUTH COMMISSION
MEETING MINUTES
MEETING DATE: October 3, 2007
4:30 P.M.
1. CALL TO ORDER/ROLL CALL
Commissioner Felzer called the meeting to order at 4:35 pm.
Present: Commissioners Michelle Ferreirae, Novack, Campbell, Ogden,
Prieto, Felzer, Nick Ferreirae, Lawson, Marow and Sherif.

Present: Recreation Supervisor Rubenstein and Administrative Coordinator

5. CLOSING AND ADOPTION OF THE CONSENT CALENDAR
A. Approval of Minutes for Meeting of June 6, 2007.
COMMISSIONER MICHELLE FERREIRAE MOVED, COMMISSIONER OGDEN
SECONDED TO APPROVE THE MINUTES OF THE JUNE 6, 2007 MEETING.
MOTION CARRIED 6-0. (Only members who attended June meeting voted)
6. NEW BUSINESS
A. Park and Beach Tour.
Commissioner Felzer reviewed the staff report and introduced Park Supervisor
Terry Smith, who conducted the tour. Park Supervisor Smith directed the
Commissioners to the van for the tour at 4:45 p.m.
The Commissioners visited the following sites: Manchester Preserve, Cardiff
Sports Park, Glen Park, Swami's, Moonlight Beach (including lifeguard tower and
helicopter pad) and Cottonwood Creek Park.
Following the tour, Commission members thanked Park Supervisor Smith for the
comprehensive tour and met for dinner.

The meeting adjourned at 7:21 p.m.
