SUBCOMMITTEES UPDATES · History and Historical Preservation Resource Brochure: No report. · Website Database Subcommittee: Council Member Houlihan reported that Blair Gibb would be presenting the website prototype to the Cultural Tourism Committee at the June 2, 2005 meeting. The historic tour could be planned much like the Garden Tour that took place last weekend. There could be a market place where items such as T-shirts, commemorative pins and reproduced prints could be sold. The use of double-decker bus would transport the participants. Exhibits could be held at the market place - surf culture exhibit, museum exhibit, etc. This item would be further discussed at the next meeting. Council Member Houlihan reported that the Youth/Elder Project event went very well. Lastly, Council Member Houlihan reported that the Garden Tour took place on May 21, 2005 and was a complete success. All 600 tickets were sold and many more people were turned away.
