CALL TO ORDER/ROLL CALL Council Member Houlihan called the meeting to order at 11 :05 A.M. Self-introductions were made. APPROVAL OF MINUTES - SEPTEMBER 27~ 2005 MEETING Committee consensus to approve the minutes of the October 25,2005 meeting. ORAL COMMUNICATIONS None. AGENDA ITEM 1. "California Digital Library" Council Member Houlihan reviewed with the committee members the website for the California Digital Library (CDL). The CDL is one of the largest digitallibraries available. She indicated that she believed that the CDL would be a good resource for the HWOW groups to collaborate with for their archival and digital cataloguing database needs. SUBCOMMITTEE UPDATES . Historv and Historical Preservation Resource Brochure: No report. · Web site Database Subcommittee: This item was addressed under Agenda Item #1. · Event and Marketine: Subcommittee: Council Member Houlihan gave an update-on the City's 20th Anniversary celebration. She indicated that several changes were made to the calendar that was created by Fred Caldwell and it would be available shortly for purchase. Houlihan indicated that the budget for the project was working itself out. Enough funds had been obtained to cover expenses for the calendar and banner production costs. Funding was obtained through the calendar sponsors of $500 each, by the anonymous donations of $5,000 and by DEMA's sponsorship of $3,000 for the downtown banners. Houlihan hoped to have additional funding from the calendar sales to create lapel pins and T-shirts. Additionally, Houlihan reported that a walking tour with Lloyd O'Connell would take place on January 20,2006. Registration cost would be $12.00 and would include a map and t-shirt.
