Smith, N!anagement Analyst SUBJECT: Adoption of Resolution No. 2001-05, Annexation to the Cardiff Sanitation District of 2.3 Acres Locateci at 1375 & 1383 'I'rabert Tianch Roud - Jordar: a'ate Annexation (Assessor's Parcel No. 259-200-32&33). ]SACKGROUl`tD: Mr. Wayne Pasco is petitioning on behalf of Pauline lordan and Gerald Tate for annexation of 2.3 acres to the Cardiff Sanitation District. The applicants have failing septic systenis and wish to connecc to the public sewer. The appticants plan to construrt approximately 300' of 8" sewer main at an estimated cost of $20,400. The cost of these improvements will bc ~ paid entirely by the applicant;. On October 25, 2000, the Cardiff Sanitation District Board reviewed the Froponent's request and ~ adopted CSD Resotution No. 2040-17, approving an aranexation application to the District. "I'he proposZl was subsequently reviewed and approved by the Lxal Agency Forniation C'ommission on February 5, 2001. ANAL.YSIS: The proposed annexaYion is in conformance with the C'ardiff Sanitation tyistrict Buard's policy for annexations of sirgle-family residences on legal-size iots, conforms with the currer,t zoning, and is within the District's sphere of influelice. The territory p,oposed to be annexed is uninhabited and wiil be benefited by such I annexation as descriued in Health and S3fety Code Section 4830. d. The reasons for the proposed annexation as set forth in the resolution of applic3tion referred to above are: 1. All the owners of land within such territory have given their written consent ta such annexation, as p*ovided in Goverrunent Code, Section 56837; and therefore, as appro•red and authorized by the Local Agency Farmation Coirzrnission, this Board may adopt its resolution ordering the annexatian without notice and hearing and without an election, as provideci in Government Code, Section 57002. g. The regular County assessment role tivill be utili2ed and the affected territory wiil not be taxed for existin& bonded isidebtedness. IT IS FiJPTHER RES(JLVED AND ORDERED that pursuant tu Guvernment Code Section 57002, the following described iracocporated territory in the Ciry of Encinitas, Staee of Califfl;nia, be and it hereby is annexed to and made a parE of the Carc#iff Sanitation District. IT IS FURTHER ORDERED ihat the Clerk of this Soard ienmediately traiumit a certi ied copy of this resolution along with a remietance to cover the fees required by the Government Code Szction 54902.5 to the Executiwe Officer of the Local Ager.icy Formation Corr.mission of Sar, Diega County, so that the Executive Offcer may makc the Yilings required by Chapter 8 (cQmmencing with Section 57200), Part 5, Division 1, Title 6of the Government.
