HYDROLOGY EVALUATION FOR THE TUCKER RESIDENCE
SINGLE FAMILY GRADING PLAN - DUSTY TRAIL, OLIVENHAIN

Gentlemen:
Please allow this letter to serve as an informal hydrology report
for the subject residential grading plan. This site is located
on the border of Encini tas and Carlsbad at the western end of
Dusty Trail in Olivenhain. The site has an existing natural
drainage swale over the northeastern portion of the lot, where no
grading is being proposed, The drainage impact to the actual
grading will be to the brow ditch at the top of the lot, Based on
the attached hydrology map, the drainage basin for the area to be
graded is approximately 0.50 acres, Assuming "urban" drainage
design, it is conservatively estimated that the 100 year storm
for this design point is approximately 1.5 CFS,
The grading plan proposes to intercept the drainage with a P,C.C,
Brow Ditch and direct the flowage onto the driveway and ultimate-
ly to the existing drainage structure ( s) along Dusty Trail, By
inspection the brow is adequate for the small (1,5 cfs) amount of
flow,
Based on our observations and previous work experience in this
area of Olivenhain, along with the attached hydrology map for
your reference, we request your acceptance of this hydrology
evaluation for this project. Should you have any questions or
comments, please feel free to contact this office or respond, as
such, w'th plan check comments.
