The Presddent called the meeting to order. The Secretary read the
minutes oP the previous meeting oP July 3d,1917 which Rere duly
approved.
A letter from Adr. Walker of Encinitas asking the B,-ard to
grant the Cardi*f Irrigation Distriet to furnish water fbr the
Santa re Stat6on st Encinit~s with water, was read and ordered

The matter of excluding certain lands from the District owned
~ by Katta W. Marsh aas next taken up. There being present Mrs.
Yatta W. Marsh, W. B. Gross and Dr. Otto G. Marsh. These parties
were duly sworn in as fiitnesses by C. A. Hurssell and testified

$50.00 per year.

statement by W. B. Gross: The petitioner kncR nothing
of the ferMation of the District. As the Iand lies on the edge of the
District and the taxes unusually high, sIl 2'airness it ought to be
elirinated.

The Po"llowing Resolution was made by J. Frank Cullen, duly seconded

THEREAS, the Cardiff Irrigation District made a note through thP
Union National Bank nith interest payable quarterly at
seven percentum. Said note maturing July lst.1917 and
WHEREAS, the President of the Union National Bank ar~rees to extenc~

the time of the nayment to Janizary Ist.1918, provided,hor-

ever, the interest amounting to ~3,R. Cf? be paid at once ar.a

to liquidate and satisfy note maturing july Zst.1917. Non,

ecute a note in favor of the Unior. National Bank for said

aries of the 7ngineer, Assessor, Tax Collector,TreasurPr,
Secretary and rent of office be reduced The sare al-
lowance be allowed for the use of the ^ngineer's Autonobile
to fa,cilitate his work. Saie' re3o2ution to take effect
September 4th.1917.
The Secretary stated that he had receivedthe Assessor's bookof the
Distriet from tre Assessor as requiret by the laR of the state of
California and that he na4 sd.vertised the same in the San Di.Pgo mrib-
unP, ealling a Ec+ard of Eoualization Dieeting to be helcl at the OPfiee
of the District, Friday, August "4Lh, 19179 a± 10 o'clock A. M.
It was roved, seconded anei carried that the Cardiff Irrigation Dist-

mary price.
