A vote beiny t2ken the Resolution was unanimously adopted. On motion by il,Tr. Minney, secorided by 1!,Zr. Young, the Flat- iron buil8ino at Cardiff vaas engaged at a rental of thirty dollars per month commencing April lst,1916. The motion was earriEd. M. L. Gindc,r was appointed Setretary of the Board for three ~ months at a salary of fo7°ty dollars per month. ~ ~ William E. Ginder was reta ined f'or three months as attorney of the board _p-ex_ montjj,, ~ ,-Ihe bonds of the Assessor, Tax Collector ancl Treasurer were fixed at $5,000. for Assessor, "5,000. for tax collector and $10,000. ~ ~ a for Treasurer. C. A. Hurssell, who occupies the combined offices ~ , presented bonds of the 1:1aryland Casualty Company as directed and same tivere approveci and ordered filed with the secretary as required , ~ by law. Y ~ ruir. E. E. Youna, J. Frank Cullen and J. L. Minney havino ~ , deposited bonds of the r:iaryland Casualty Co., as required by lavi, : irl the sum of five thousand dollars each, said bonds having been approved by Hon C. N. AndreaJS, Judoe Cuperior Court of San Diego : County, were ordered to be recorded by the County Recorder of San ~ Dieoo County, vrhich the Temporary Secretary statecx had been done• Upon motion duly made, second.ed and carried tY•~e Board fixed the salary of the Assessor at thir•ty five dollars per month; ~ . - , that of the tax co?.lector at ~`20, per mor~th and that of the Treas- ~ urer at forty-five dollars pe.r month. Upon motion duly made, seconded and carried, the Assessor vvas authorizea to procure the necessary records and stationery for his office. Upon motion duly made seconded anu carrieu the ;-ecretary was directed to procure minute book, seal and rlecessary stationery for ~ his ofiice. ~ Upon mot ion duly made, seconded and carried, J. Frank Cullen ~ ancl E. E. Youno were appointed to ascertain the costs of water ~ ~ rights and other property necessary to carry out the purposes for ; : s which the District was oroanized, and to report at the next re"u? ar meetin~. ~ Upon motion duly made, seconded and carried, the Secretary was instructed to purchase a ten trip ticket between Cardiff and San Diego, for use o° the Board and officers as needeci.
