CASE NUMBER: 90-232 V APPLICANT: Englehorn/Allen Crutcher, AlA LOCATION: 1707 Glasgow Avenue DESCRIPTION: Variance request to encroach 13 ft. 10 in. into 25 foot front yard setback for a proposed garage and entry remodel to a single family residence. ENVIRONMENTAL STATUS: Exempt per section 15303 (a) of CEQA. Motion: Board Member Carol MacManus To approve the application with the following modifications: 1) Change Condition No.3 to allow the existing palm and Bird of Paradise trees located in the southeast corner of the property to remain, and 2) Require an indemnification condition to be recorded on the property holding the City harmless for any complications or accidents which may allegedly result from the approved parking arrangement. DESCRIPTION: Time Extension Request for an Approved Tentative Parcel Map (88-230) for Condominium Conversion of an Existing Duplex. ENVIRONMENTAL STATUS: Exempt from per section 15301(b) of CEQA. Motion: Board Member Tom McCabe - To continue the project to December 10, 1990, in order to allow the applicant time to respond to concerns of the Board and to provide evidence that an encroachment permit and/or variance was obtained for the deck. Hoiseth (90-218V) appeal for initial consideration before the Planning commission 11-27-90. Announcement that the outgoing Councilmembers will be recognized and the new members will be welcomed at the Council meeting of 11-27-90. Request for direction from the board related to Case #90- 161 BA (David Shaw) and Condition No. 12 of the Resolution approving the boundary adjustment for property located at 1905/1917 Oxford Avenue. The Board directed the property owner to either seek an amendment to the boundary adjustment to reduce or eliminate the need for a variance or to submit a complete application (with design plans) for consideration of a rear yard variance for the garage. The Board affirmed that access from or near the alley for the northerly lot was necessary due to the lot's location. 11.
