Motion:

the CAB:
(1)
Provide a design al ternati ve to consider either
the relocation of the garage door away from the
street frontage (i.e.: to the north or south
elevation), or a landscaped separation between
the garage and street.
(2)
Provide an elevational study to indicate the
street view once the existing driveway area is
removed and landscaping is provided in its
place. Consider using "turf-block" to replace
the concrete driveway.
(3)
Provide a study of how a rear yard garage would
alter design plans (i.e.: the location of the
second floor addition) and affect the amount
of side and rear yard area which would need to
be used as a concrete driveway in lieu of side
and rear yard landscaping.
(4)
Consider design alternatives such as automated
sectional (roll-up) garage doors and a
reduction to the clear space within the garage
in order to increase the amount of driveway
from the garage to the street.
