ORDINANCE NO. 94-02
AN ORDINANCE OF THE ENCINITAS SANITARY DIStRICT
ADOPTING A LATERAL MAINTENANCE POLICY
The Encinitas Sanitary District Board of Directors does ordain as follows:
SECTION ONE:
That the Lateral Maintenance Policy be adopted to read as follows:
LIABILITY OF PROPERTY OWNERS FOR CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE OF
SEWER LATERALS: The property owners serviced by a sewer lateral shall be
'responsible for cleaning and maintenance of the sewer lateral between the trunk line main
and the structure connection. Any maintenance or repair of a sewer lateral shall be done
at the sole expense of the property owner and shall only be undertaken after the proper
permits have been issued.
SECTION TWO:
This ordinance was introduced on March 23, 1994.
