AN ORDIHUCB OF THB BNCINITAS SANITARY DISTRICT
AHENDING RBGULATION NO.1, ARTICLB III TO ADD SBCTION 21. 1
TO THE BHCINITAS SANITARY DISTRICT CODE RBGARDING
BQUIVALBHT DWELLING UNIT DBTBRKINATIONS
NOW THEREFORE, The Encinitas Sanitary District Board, does
ordain as follows:
SECTION ONE:
That Requlation No.1, Article III of the Encini tas
Sanitary District Code is amended to add Section 21.1 to
read as follows:

SECTION TWO:
This ordinance was introduced on February 23, 1994.
SECTION THREE:
Upon introduction of this ordinance, the City Clerk is
directed to publish notice of a public hearing to consider
the provisions of the San Diego County Code. The notice
shall be published at least 15 days prior to the public
hearing and shall announce that the City Clerk has on file
at least three copies of those portions of the San Diego
County Code which are proposed for incorporation by
reference.
SECTION FOUR:
Upon adoption of this ordinance, the Ci ty Clerk is
directed to maintain three copies of those portions of the
San Diego County Code which are incorporated by reference.
SECTION FIVE:
Wi thin 15 days following the adoption of this
ordinance, the Ci ty Clerk is directed to prepare and have
published a summary of this ordinance together with the
votes cast.
SECTION SIX:
This ordinance shall take effect and be in force thirty
(30) days after the date of its passage, and before the
expiration of fifteen (15) days after its passage it shall
be published once, with the names of the members voting for

SECTION 21.1 RBSIDBNTIAL FACILITIBS. Each residential
structure shall have a separate, individual sewer lateral
which shall connect to the district's system.
A.
Single Family Residence
(Includes manufactured homes, and
mobile homes which are on private lots)
B.
All apartments and accessory units,
reqardless of number of bedrooms.
c.
Residential condominiums,
per each individual living unit.
D.
Mobile Home and Trailer Parks,
per each individual space

In the case of commercial, industrial, and other

supermarkets, markets, deli/markets, convenience
stores, hospitals, laundries (other than self-service
laundries), automobile service stations, mortuaries,
day-care centers, bars, pool halls, and other
establishments not included in Commercial/Industrial
items (A) through (G) inclusive, or when the EDU's
specified in items (A) through (G) are not
representati ve of actual flow due to the number of
employees or type of operation, the number of
equivalent dwelling units shall be determined in each
case by the Director and shall be based upon the
estimated volume and type of wastewater discharge into
the sewer.
