Ms. Suelter stated that on March 8,1995, the District reviewed the
proposed Five-Year Financial Plan and Five-Year Capital Improvement
Plan.
She said the purpose of this meeting was to discuss the proposed
sewer charge increase for ESD in preparation for the April 12, 1995
agenda item that would introduce the sewer service charge increase
ordinance.
After reviewing several alternatives, Ms. Suelter said staff was
proposing a 9% increase in annual sewer service charges for the
next four years. That equated to $15/EDU increase in fiscal year
1995/96 to $185/EDU and a maximum of $240/EDU in fiscal year
1998/99.
Ms. Suelter stated the annual sewer service charges for fiscal year
1995/96 would result in a total increase in Operating and Capital
Replacement Fund revenue of approximately $80,000 in fiscal year
1995/96.
