Management Analyst Schulenburg reviewed the amen ments to the FY
1996-FY 2000 General Fund financed Capital Imp ovement Program
projects.
Ms. Schulenburg stated that at the March 8, 1995 Council meeting,
staff indicated that due to a decrease in pr j ected revenues
derived from property tax, solid waste franchise ees, and the San
Elijo JPA overhead, the majority of the Gener I Fund financed
. projects proposed in the five-year program could not be completed
without temporary financing from the five million dollar
Contingency Reserve fund.

Ms. Schulenburg provided a revised General Fun financed project
list showing a reduction of $1,459,000 over the five year program
period due to a process of project elimi ation, deferral,
reprioritization, and alternative financing.
Staff was directed to return to the May 17, 19 5 Council meeting
with detailed information regarding the prop sed Civic Center
projects.
