MINU1ES OF ENCINITAS SANITARY DISTRICT RE ULAR MEETING
JANUARY 26, 1993, 4:00 P.M., 505 SOUTH 'LCAN AVE.
Board President DuVivier called the meeting to
rder at 4:00 P.M.
Present:
President DuVivier, Board Members Jame Bond, John Davis,
Gail Hano and Maura Wiegand.
District Manager Shafer, Board Clerk ool, Public Works
Director Nelson, City Engineer Herz erger, utilities
Planner Vinocur.

There being a quorum present, the meeting was i
order.
Bano moved, Wiegand seconded to close and dopt the Consent
Calendar. Motion carried. Ayes: Bond, Davi, DuVivier, Bano,
Wiegand; Nays: None.

Bano moved,' Wiegand seconded to approve staff 8co..endation to
accept the sewer and tuaporary construction e __ants into the
District. Motion carried. Ayes: Bond, Davis DuVivier, Bano,
wieqand; Nays: None.
None.
Public Works Director Nelson said that during he recent storms
there had ¡een a minor sewage spill at Moonlight Beach. He said a
citizen had hooked a private drainage system nto the District
sewage system and that was believed to be the c use of the spill.
Mr. Nelson stated he would be following up wit the citizen and
attempt to recover any costs that the District i curred during the
spill.
President DuVivier asked if the public was educa ed as to why they
should not hook into the District sewage system.
Public Works Director Nelson said education rega ding the problem
had been done.
