CALL TO ORDER
President Harrington called the meeting to order at 4:30 P.M., Thursday,
September 26, 1985 at the San Dieguito Water District's office, Encinitas.

APPROVAL OF MINUTES
Directors Anderson and Pate moved and seconded that the minutes of
the August 22, 1985 board meeting be approved as written.
Motion carried.
APPROVAL OF WARRANTS
Directors Pate and Cory moved and seconded that warrants numbers 6736

through 6769 be approved for payment.
Motion carried.
TREASURER'S REPORT
The report of receipts, disbursements and investments was presented to
the Board.
The purchase of bonds at a discount was discussed.
SEWER MAINS CAPACITY (IN ENCINITAS BOULEVARD)
Manager Schneider and Mr. Kubota are looking over the lines.
Most are
only using onehalf of their capacity.
There appears to be plenty of capa-
city at the present time.
ENCINA
The estimate for the cost of installing the ballast was about $100,000
low. The contract was awarded for $750,000 and work will begin in
November.

MANAGER'S REPORT
Manager Schneider discussed his retirement.
At the present, Tom Henie
is not interested in becoming manager.
Mike Crist applied for a job and
was hired (he is a former employee).
Therefore, the District now has four
employees.
Manager Schneider is not sure when he will retire, but will

inform the Board with two months' notice.
ENCINITAS PUMP STATION
The contractor is awaiting parts and will begin work in abõut two
weeks.
BOARD MEETING ABSENCES
According to the District's counsel, Ward Kimball, three consecutive
absences from meetings will result in automatic termination from the Board. .
CARROLL'S CHECK
Mr. Carroll's attorney called to say that he has a cashier's check to

replace the bad check originally received. The District will accept the
check without added interest.
ADJOURNMENT
The meeting adjourned at 5:22 P.M.
