Motion: Board Member Comeau - To approve the Consent Calendar
with no revisions.
Second: Board Member Wells

F. REGULAR AGENDA
1. Case No. 93-215 V, Variance for an addition to an existing single
family residence to be attached to an existing detached garage/pool
house which currently encroaches into the required side and rear
yard setbacks of the R-5 zone. Applicant: William and Jill
Sommer. Location: 726 Arden Drive. Environmental Status: Exempt
pursuant to Section 15301 (e) of CEQA. Contact Planner: Matt
Newman.
Staff Recommendation: Receive public testimony and adopt the draft
resolution approving Case No. 93-215 V.
Motion: Board Member Comeau - To approve Case No. 93-215 V with
staff recommendations and that Condi tion 1 by modified to
read "Prior to occupancy of the residential addition (or
a later date to be determined by the Director),
electrical permits for the pool house shall be obtained
from the city to bring the electrical system into
compliance with current codes."

Review of City Council and Planning Commission actions and pending
agenda items.
I. BUSINESS
The Board discussed changes which have been' made to the Design
Review ordinance with regard to awnings, and requested a copy of
all of the changes that were recently approved.

Meeting to be adjourned to the next regularly scheduled meeting to
be held Thursday, December 16, 1993.
Motion: Board Member Birnbaum - To adjourn at 8:00 P.M. to the
Regular Meeting scheduled for Thursday, December 16,1993
at 7:00 P.M.
