CALL TO ORDER/ROLL CALL Community Advisory Board Members Present: Joe Stumpf, Steve Perkins, Kevin Johnson, Linda Trujillo Community Advisory Members Absent: Chuck DuVivier Staff Members Present: Linda Niles, Associate Planner 8 Sara Freda, Planning Technician Charles Kubli, Public Works Representative 2. PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE 3. SPECIAL PRESENTATIONS/ANNOUNCEMENTS Linda Niles announced that she had received 3 more letters in favor of the Rhoades School proposal. The letters were distributed to the Board members. A woman had called Linda today expressing her approval of the school; however, she is unable to attend the meeting because of her pregnancy. Staff also announced that the archaeology report from Recon was submitted today for the Rhoades School. A copy of that report was distributed to the Board members. Archaeologist Dale Cheever presented a 1 hour slide show on how to review projects for cultural and archaeological significance. 4. Approval of Minutes from meeting of June 6, 1989 and June 20, 1989. The minutes were not yet available. 6. PUBLIC HEARINGS CONTINUED None 7. PUBLIC HEARINGS Linda Trujillo stepped down from review of this item due to a conflict of interest. A. CASE NUMBER: 89-042 MUP/EIA APPLICANT: Rhoades School LOCATION: l4l South Rancho Santa Fe Road DESCRIPTION: Major Use Permit application and Environmental Review for a proposed school approximately l4,725 sq. ft. for 200 students grades K-8. ENVIRONMENTAL STATUS: Under review. Motion: Board Member Johnson - To continue this item to the meeting of August 8, 1989 to give the applicant and staff enough time to address the following: Noise and traffic impacts, parking, lights, connecting recreation trails, set up meetings with the neighbors, evaluating the potential future use of the site if the school was to leave, and formulate an appropriate time period for the use permit. Board member steve Perkins ask staff to research a fence being constructed along the east side of Rancho Santa Fe Road to see if it had the applicable permits. ll.
