3. SPECIAL PRESENTATIONS/ANNOUNCEMENTS
Associate Planner Linda Niles informed the community Advisory
Board members that items 6A, B and C are open to public
hearings as opposed to the agenda which states they are closed
to the public.
Ms. Niles further stated that it will be necessary to rehear
89-046 MIN (Perry) due to the fact that a motion was made and
voted on without the benefit of one Community Advisory Board
member's review of the tape of its previous consideration.
On a motion made by member Perkins and seconded by member
DuVivier, it was unanimously voted on to renotice and rehear
89-046 MIN on September 19, 1989.
4. ORAL COMMUNICATIONS
Ms. Sandy Kornafel spoke to the 'grading ordinance and
volunteered to work with staff on revising the standards in
Co 8 the Hillside/Inland Bluff Overlay Zone. The Community
Advisory Board members thanked Ms. Kornafel for her offer and
further suggested that she give her presentation to the City
Council.

DESCRIPTION: Tentative Subdivision Map for 27
residential lots and one road lot, and
environmental review.
ENVIRONMENTAL
STATUS: Under Review.
Motion: Board Member DuVivier - To continue this item to a
speci...l meeting on site at 5:00 p.m. on September 19, 1989
with the following item to be taken into consideration at that
time:
- sensitivity of the project to the land and its future use
as it relates to the number of lots;
- the contiguous open space;
- minimization of cuts and fills;
8 - secondary access;

- size and density of the lots without the open space; and
- addition of open space in the creek area.
The Board also requested that the applicant's engineer stake
areas on site showing major and minor 25% slope areas, 10%
slope areas and over 40% slope areas.

Motion: Board Member Perkins - To continue this item to the
October 3,1989 meeting to allow time for the Trails committee
to review the application and also allow the applicant time
to return with some suggestions on additional native
vegetation.

At this time board member stumpf returned to the meeting and
the l.;ommunity Advisory Board members took a five minute
recess.
Chairman Stumpf requested that the Board consider continuing
Item 5E to the meeting of september 19, 1989 because it
appeared that the item would not come up until midnight. The
Board and the applicant agreed.

seconded by member Johnson, it was unanimously approved to
continue the meeting to 11:00 p.m.

APPLICANT: Tubbs
LOCATION: West of Eighth Street, at 518 Whisper Wind
Drive.
DESCRIPTION: Environmental Review for grading of one
single family dwelling unit on inland
bluff system and on slopes over 25% and
Design Rev i ew and Variance request to
encroach more than the allowable 20% to
a maximum of 26+% into the over 25% slope
area with the development proposal.
ENVIRONMENTAL
STATUS: Under Review.
