RESOLUTION NO. OF-7
8 A RESOLUTION OF THE OLD ENCINITAS CAB
APPROVING DESIGN REVIEW APPLICATION DR 87-01 OE
WHEREAS, an application for Design Review was filed by
Barbara Cope for the addition of a one bedroom dwelling unit on
a site with an existing single family dwelling located at 1085
Gardena Road; and
WHEREAS, a public hearing was conducted on the application
August 6, 1987; and
WHEREAS, the CAB considered:
1. The Staff report dated August 6, 1987;
2. The project plot plans and elevations;
3. Oral information submitted at the hearing; and
4. Written information submitted at the hearing.
WHEREAS, the CAB determined that the proposal substantially
8 complies with the City's Design Review Guidelines.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that Design Review Application
DR 87-01 OE is hereby approved, subject to the following
conditions of approval:
1. All public improvements shall be installed in
accordance with Chapter 23.08 of the Municipal Code, to
be found satisfactory by the City's Public Works
Director prior to final occupancy.
2. The decking, shingles, mullion windows, window frames,
door, and other building details indicated in the
revised plans shall be incorporated into the building
permit plans, subject to Staff review and approval,
prior to building permit issuance.
3. The southerly driveway shall be constructed of
"grasscrete", which must be installed and found
satisfactory by Staff prior to final occupancy.
8 4. Building plans shall contain a revised landscape plan
which indicates proposed shrubs along the north wall of

the new (rear) dwelling unit and along the property's
street frontage between the two driveways. Said
8 landscape plan shall be subject to Staff review and
approval prior to building permit issuance.
5. The owner shall furnish the Community Development
Department with evidence from the California Coastal
Commission that a Coastal Development Permit has been
issued for their project prior to building permit
issuance.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 6th day of August, 1987, by the
following vote to wit:
