A. CASE NUMBER: 87-050 MUP/DR (Continued from the meeting
of March 9, 1989)
APPLICANT: Rotsheck
LOCATION: 315 First street (Southeast corner of 1st
street and Encinitas Boulevard.).
DESCRIPTION: Design Review of the proposed landscaping
plan for Moonlight Plaza Phase II.
ENVIRONMENTAL
STATUS: Negative Declaration previously certified.
Motion: Board Member Tony Kauflin - To approve the
application as submitted with the following
conditions: The Eucalyptus trees along the railroad
should be clustered more and spacing between the
trees shall be 7' and 10' (this shall be noted on
the plans) ; the Hibiscus and Tenax "Tiny Tim" should
be 5 gallon (not one gallon), the trees labeled on
the plans as "Brisbane Box" can be Brisbane Box or
Jacaranda to maintain consistency with Phase I, the
. turf area shall be Mondo Grass with areas of color
interspersed; the Mondo grass shall be planted a
minimum of 6" on center to get maximum coverage.

Motion: Board Member Tony Kauflin - To continue this item
. to the meeting of April 20, 1989 to give the applicant time
to address Board members I concerns and to clarify proposed
landscaping and drainage.

Adam Birnbaum - Parkway plantings should be enhanced where
possible.
. Peter Tobias - Making comments on the new Zoning Ordinance
encouraged when said Ordinance is under review.

to the next regularly scheduled meeting of this
Community Advisory Board to be held April 6, 1989.
