Motion: Couglar - To approve the minutes for the meeting of
December 8, 1988, with the following revisions:
Item 7. D. (3) - Insert "Carrotwood trees" in front of
"parkway". 4} Change "incorporate the landscaping elements
of the alley..." to "incorporate the landscaping elements of
the entrance...". Add (7) to read "Benches and planters to
be installed in the rear courtyard area."

Motion: Tobias - To approve the Design Review Modification
and Boundary Adjustment application with the condition that
the small square landscape planter shown be replaced with a
minimum of 6 landscape "finger" islands at a minimum 3 feet
wide.

8. ITEMS REMOVED FROM CONSENT CALENDAR.
9. Business from the Old Encinitas Community Advisory Board and
discussion of characteristics and objectives unique to the
Community. The Old Encinitas Community Advisory Board
reviewed applications for Planning Commission Delegate. The
selected nominees are the following: Alan Birnbawn, Harry
8 Couglar and Mark Steyaert.

appeal within ten (10) working days after the hearing through the
